Overview of Graduate Education
In school of electrical engineering, there are two first level disciplines that control science and engineering, biomedical engineering. Electrical machinery and apparatus is second level discipline. There have two engineering master degree mandated areas that control engineering and electrical engineering. What’s more, we train doctoral students with Yanshan University and Hebei University of Technology. And detection technology and automation devices discipline is the key disciplines of Hebei Province.
The graduate training of detection technology and automation devices discipline was began in 1998 with Harbin Institute of technology, Yanshan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 2002, we obtained a master’s degree-granting of detection technology and automatic devices, motor and electrical, began to recruit graduates independently. In 2005, we got the authorization of first level biomedical engineering discipline and second level motor and electrical discipline. Five years later, we got the authorization of first level control science and engineering. In 2007, we made a breakthrough in job postgraduate education by getting the enrollment right of master of engineering in control engineering and electrical engineering, which broaden the college’s graduate training. Now we have 3 doctoral tutors, 28 master instructors, and more than 200 graduate students in the school. We are engaged in intelligent control of electrical appliances, design optimization and fault diagnosis of large-scale electrical equipment, electrical smart drive, high-voltage testing techniques, detection of process parameter and intelligent control technology, electrical equipment testing and information processing technology, control theory and applications of complex systems, ultrasonic engineering with the direction of the imaging technology, biomedical signal and information processing technology, biomedical detection and mechatronics technology, bio-electromagnetic technology and other dozens researches. Many graduates in our school continued the PhD in Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tianjin University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Southeast University and so on.
