Course Information
Course Information
Detection technology and automation devices can be used in the acquisition, transmission and processing of information in industrial automation production. It makes the theory and practice closely. What’s more, it is applied in various engineering fields. This discipline relates to automation, computer, control engineering, electronic information, machinery and other disciplines. It is not only mainly engaged in the theory, modeling, simulation and applied technology in the detection technology and automation equipment, but also about the system design and new product development. The graduates come from this discipline are capable for performing the work of the institutions of higher learning, research institutes, enterprises and other units of teaching, research, and technology management.
There are 3 doctoral tutors and 5 master tutors that include 6 professors, 1 associate professor and 1 outstanding teacher in Hebei Province. We have many key laboratories which have lots of advanced instrument device. Such as the production process automation engineering technology research center and the production process automation experimental teaching center.
1 Training Objectives
We are engaged in training the students with excellent moral qualities, good professional knowledge and the capacity of scientific research and development. Specifically the fields of the design of production process control system, automated detection technology, automatic control engineering and computer control system. The students would have a strong independent analysis of issues and problem-solving skills in information processing, computer monitoring and control, intelligent instrument and sensor technology.
2 Main Research Directions
(1) Electrical equipment testing and information processing technology
(2) Process parameters detection and intelligent control technology
(3) Information fusion and novel sensing technology
(4) Complex systems control theory and applications
3 Requirements of Credit and Develop Life
The total course credits are required to achieve 30-36 credits, in which the degree course credits are not less than 16 credits. Postgraduates will finish their studies in 2.5 years, no more than 5 years.

5 Opening Report
Opening report must be finished in the middle of the third semester after have completed 25 credits of graduate. The report include: status of research topics in your field, historical and cutting-edge issues, the existing conditions, goals, difficulties and problem-solving technical approach. Paper may commence only after the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee and the disciplinary review panel.
6 Interim Assessments
In the middle of the fourth semester, graduate will be in the interim assessment. Graduate whose course credits up to 30-36, can be enter the dissertation stage.
7 Dissertation and Defense Requirements
(1) Dissertation is an important part of the process of post-graduate training. It can cultivate abilities such as literature search and review, report of the topic, experimental design and organization, experimental data processing, logical thinking and theoretical analysis, computer applications, thesis writing and presentation skills, especially the ability to working independently and creativity.
(2) Dissertation topics should adhere to the principle of combining theory and practice, should have theoretical and practical significance, and strive to be combined with the economic construction and social development.
(3) The thesis must have its insights or new achievements, and has certain significance to socialist modernization or development of the discipline in theory or practice. Type of "design" or "report" paper should have a certain technical difficulty and a certain amount of work. It can reflect the graduate’s ability that comprehensive use of theoretical knowledge and solve practical problems. The dissertation must be completed independently by graduate students, cooperation projects should be made clear in my main finished part.
(4) After completion of the dissertation and the courses, graduate may apply for the dissertation defense. The defense organized by the Institute according to prescribed procedures, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the theoretical basis, research ability and design capabilities, to put forward the views on whether or not to grant degrees. After the respondent passed by the discussion of the College Sub-Committee, and materials must be submitted to the office of the degree then submit to the school degree assessment committee for approval.
